A cooling blanket may qualify only in rare cases where it is medically necessary to treat a diagnosed condition, such as:
Documented menopause-related vasomotor symptoms (e.g., severe hot flashes)
Certain neurological or thermoregulation disorders
Post-surgical recovery requiring controlled temperature regulation
Autism spectrum or sensory processing conditions requiring therapeutic cooling support
