Which stores accept FSA and HSA cards?
Most major pharmacies and grocery chains accept FSA and HSA cards for eligible items. Retailers that commonly accept them include:
- Walmart and Sam's Club
- Amazon
- CVS
- Walgreens
- Target
- Costco
- Kroger
- Albertsons and Safeway
- Publix
- H-E-B
- Wegmans

- Food Lion
Only eligible items are charged to your benefits card. In a mixed cart, you'll pay for everything else with another payment method. Many independent pharmacies accept FSA/HSA cards too, so ask at the counter before you shop. If a store can't take your card, pay another way and submit the receipt to your plan administrator for reimbursement.

Is there an app to check if something is FSA eligible?

Can I use my HSA card in the buyFSA app?
Yes. The app accepts both FSA and HSA cards, and everything in it is eligible for both accounts.
Can I buy groceries at Walmart with my FSA card?
Generally, no. Everyday groceries and food aren't FSA or HSA eligible. At Walmart and other stores, you can use your card for eligible health items such as over-the-counter pain relievers, allergy and cold medicine, first aid supplies, sunscreen, and menstrual care products. Do I need a prescription to buy over-the-counter medicine with an FSA or HSA?
No. Since 2020, over-the-counter medicines and menstrual care products have been eligible without a prescription. Some items, like certain supplements, still require a Letter of Medical Necessity.
What happens to my FSA money at the end of the year?

I just received my fast card I have now idea what kind of food I can buy at walmart
You may email us at any time for support with an FSA or purchase questions on BuyFSA. For out of stock products, you may use our “Notify Feature” which allows you to receive updates when a product goes back in stock.
Also, is there any way we can talk to a live person for any important reason relating to an item?
