Vicks® VapoRub Chest Rub Ointment

Vicks VapoRub Chest Rub Ointment is formulated with both active and inactive ingredients to provide effective, targeted cough and pain relief.

Active Ingredients

• Camphor (synthetic) 4.8% (Cough suppressant and topical analgesic)
• Eucalyptus oil 1.2% (Cough suppressant)
• Menthol 2.6% (Cough suppressant and topical analgesic)

Inactive Ingredients

• Cedarleaf oil
• Nutmeg oil
• Petrolatum
• Thymol
• Turpentine oil

For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use by mouth, in nostrils, on wounds, or on damaged skin. Do not heat in the microwave, add to hot water, or use near open flames as it may cause serious burns. Do not use with tight bandages. Ask a doctor before use if you have a cough that occurs with too much phlegm, or a chronic cough that lasts such as occurs with smoking, asthma, or emphysema. Stop use and ask a doctor if cough lasts more than 7 days, comes back, or occurs with fever, rash, or headache. Keep out of reach of children. Unsafe for any use in children under 2 years old. Swallowing can cause severe toxicity and poisoning. May cause skin redness, irritation, or allergic reactions such as rashes or hives in sensitive individuals.
