The HealthCraft Smart-Rail™ is a bedside mobility aid with a dual-position design. In the closed position it supports repositioning in bed; when opened, it pivots out to the floor for support when standing or transferring. It is certified to ASTM F3186-17 and installs without tools.

Directions

Installation (no tools required)

  1. Slide the fixed rail frame between the box spring and mattress.
  2. Secure the frame to the bed with the included safety strap.
  3. Adjust the fixed rail and pivot rail to the desired heights.
  4. Confirm the pivot rail contacts the floor when opened.

  • Failure to follow the manufacturer's instructions could result in serious injury or death.
  • WARNING – PATIENT ENTRAPMENT: There is a potential risk of entrapment (limb, neck, head, torso) between the bed rail and adjacent items such as the mattress, headboard or side tables. Position the rail at a distance considerably smaller or larger than one that could result in entrapment, and account for changes such as mattress compression, user movement or bed position changes.
  • This product is not a physical restraint or barrier to exiting the bed.
  • Maximum user weight 300 lbs. Product is not intended to support full body weight.
  • Intended for moderate vertical load bearing only. Not intended for sideward (lateral) support.
  • The pivot rail must contact the floor when in use.
  • When changing bed linens, confirm the rail is still installed correctly.
  • HealthCraft's warranty does not cover damage from improper installation or third-party services, and HealthCraft's liability is limited to the purchase price of the product.
